We are offering great prices on Gas Fireplaces Logs which are very popular this day and age. With this new popularity there has come the usual barrage of questions regarding these products and their uses. First, some information common to all these types. They are all available
set up for Natural Gas or LP (Propane). Vented logs require that you have an existing
wood burning fireplace with a decent chimney system installed or a pre-fab fireplace. Vent-free logs can be installed in a regular wood burning fireplace or a vent-free firebox.
They are all available or standard with multi-function safety controls to assure
that unlit gas cannot be sent into the living area. Vent-free gas logs are designed with heat
and comfort in mind. Vent-Free are 99.9 percent efficient but you are limited
in size and flame height. Vented logs are designed for beauty and come in unlimited sizes and boast a real looking fire. But they are only about 50 percent efficient.
Our gas logs are available in either Manual Control meaning that you turn the knob on the burner to change the heat setting; Theromast Control meaning that the variable control on the burner modulates the flame on and off to maintain the desired temperature setting; or Millivollt Control meaning the burner can be operated remotely using a wall thermostat, a table top thermostat or a hand held remote. These operating systems are not interchangeable. That is to say that if you purchase a set of logs with a Manual Control - it can never be operated with a remote control because it does not have the correct valve system. To use a remote control you always have to purchase a Millivolt Control Log Set.
